Villi Shteyn focuses his practice on securities fraud litigation.

Before joining Pomerantz, Villi was employed by a boutique patent firm, where he worked on patent validity issues in the wake of the landmark Alicedecision, in which the court ruled that an abstract idea does not become eligible for a patent simply by being implemented on a generic computer. He also helped construct international patent maintenance tools for clients and assisted in pursuing injunctive relief for a patent-holder client against a large tech company.

Villi graduated from The University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 2017). In 2014, he graduated summa cum laude from Baruch College with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs.

Villi is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
